Hey Guys
If anyone is interested in purchasing a custom Hand Routed Track
Please check out Kevin Shaw’s “FullTiltspeedways Site”:
“I have driven on several of his tracks and I would dare to say there is not a Better Track ANYWHERE Period! His rails are continous and smooth as silk! I have routed a track of my own and I love it BUT I must say Kevin has Mastered His Trade! From the surface to – the consistency of the rail height to – the banked turns It’s All UNBELIEVABLE for the price he charges. The scary thing is he seems to get better with every track he builds!”

Fellas,
So I gave the latest H.O.D.R.A. dragstrip at T.S.S. Hobbies the full inspection and I must say it more than cut the mustard. Kevin Shaw has created on of the best tracks in HO scale for drag racers that I have been able to run on in quite a number of years. Fit, finish and overall construction is superb. The man is an artist with a router. The quality of materials is unmatched. Fabulous job Kevin. This is truly a flagship track (an we have some really good ones in the association). The rail height is consistent (.012) and the rails are solid! The 1/8″ steel bar imbedded in the shutdown area stopped every neo “bullet” car I put up against it in less than 4 feet!! Quality materials, spec design and craftsmanship. Guys, if you are contemplating a dragstrip…consider Kevin Shaw’s “fulltiltspeedways” version. You will not be disappointed.

I just wanted to send out some props to Kevin Shaw. For those of you unfamiliar with Kevin Shaw, he is down in Tennessee and he builds one heck of a routed track under the name “Full Tilt Speedways”. My track is (finally) fully set up with the newest TrakMate software and it is a challenging, consistent, ultrasmooth layout. Kevin is exceptionally attentive to his customers’ needs and is creative in his design ideas. He asked that I trust his design recommendations, which include varying radius turns. Talk about nasty! What absolute torture; what absolute fun. Most of all, he is a man of his word; no empty promises. I got what he promised I would get, and what I paid for. In fact, I had high expectations, but truth be told, the track turned out nicer than my wildest dreams. Also, he told me when I could expect my track, and I got it on time (to the day). None of this waiting for more than a year nonsense while the track builder holds your money. If anyone out there is looking to have a custom routed track built, I would highly recommend Kevin. He is a pleasure to deal with. I know who is building my routed drag track! Thanks, Kevin, for a job (very) well done.
